# Spring Boot

> Use Firecrawl with Spring Boot to search, scrape, and interact with web data using the official Java SDK.

## Prerequisites

* Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+
* A Firecrawl API key — [get one free](https://www.firecrawl.dev/app/api-keys)

## Add the dependency

## Configuration

Add your API key to `application.properties`:

```properties theme={null}
firecrawl.api-key=${FIRECRAWL_API_KEY}
```

Or set it as an environment variable:

```bash theme={null}
export FIRECRAWL_API_KEY=fc-YOUR-API-KEY
```

## Create a configuration bean

Create `FirecrawlConfig.java`:

import org.springframework.context.annotation.Configuration;

@Configuration

```

## Create a REST controller

Create `FirecrawlController.java`:

## Run it

```
